Non-profits are a very important aspect of our community here in the western suburbs of Chicago. The Teen Parent Connection in Glen Ellyn has a goal to educate and support teen parents. They spend a great deal of time visiting schools, talking about the challenges of teen pregnancy to help prevent it (number of teen parents in DuPage county has decreased) and providing support services so that teen parents can work, continue their education and support their children.
This week was National Volunteer Week and we were pleased to provide the staff members of Teen Parent Connection with free chair massages this week. They had a relaxing chair massage and we got to chat with them to learn more about the impact they are making here in our area.
